Cybo VPN

Delete Your Account

This page exists because Google Play requires a way to request account deletion from outside the app, for people who have already uninstalled it.

There are two ways. Both delete the same things.

In the app

  1. Open Cybo VPN
  2. Go to the Me tab
  3. Tap Delete account
  4. Confirm

The account is deleted straight away. Nothing is queued and nothing is held for a cooling-off period.

By email

If you have already uninstalled the app, email support@cybovpn.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account.

We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm. We may ask you to confirm from the signed-up address if the request arrives from a different one — that check is there to stop somebody else deleting your account.

What is deleted

DeletedKept, and why
Your account, including your email address and namePayment receipts, without your account attached to them. Tax and accounting law requires keeping records of money that changed hands, and what is left holds no name or address.
Your password
Any outstanding password-reset codes
The link between your account and every device on it

Your devices keep working on the free tier afterwards — deleting an account does not uninstall the app or block you from using it.

We hold no logs of the sites you visit or what you do while connected, so there is nothing of that kind to delete. See the privacy policy.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a PRO subscription, because Google Play bills it, not us. Cancel it in the Play Store:

Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptionsSubscriptions → Cybo VPN → Cancel subscription

If you delete your account without cancelling, Google keeps charging you. If that has already happened, email support@cybovpn.com and see the refund policy.
